How do I get stuff from my iPod to a new computer?

I have a lot of irreplaceable pictures and songs on my iPod that were synced to an old computer. I've deactivated that computer and gotten some songs (the ones bought from iTunes) onto my new computer, but I've gotten none of the imported CD songs or pictures. Can an iPod be used as a flash drive, or do I have to find an alternative form of media transfer?

First, you gotta download itunes, then connect your ipod to the computer, then they sync automatically.
Reply:itune blocks this function, you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of this yahoo answer, same question as u.
Reply:Yeah, I think that you can download iTunes on your other computer. Then sync your iPod on it, and drag the media/picture from iTunes to your desktop. I just tried it, it works.
