How do I connect remote desktop from a Vista computer to a Windows 98 computer?

Specifically, I don't know if the other computer has the software to run it. (If it has it, what's the path?) I know where the remote desktop program is on my Vista machine, but have no idea how to make this work. I have the IP address and someone to make changes on the other end.

Download and run VNC on both machines. This will help you connect to remote machines regardless of OS versions
Reply:Try using vnc

Reply:I don't think windows 98 has remote desktop. You need to differentiate between the client and the actually program even though they look exactly the same.

The only OS that actually have remote desktop capabilities is windows xp PRO (not home), windows 2000, and vista ultimate. I'm not sure about vista business but home premium doesnt for sure.
Reply:Windows 98 Does not support Remote Desktop (new in NT/2000)

Get this on the 98 computer instead and then log in using your vista browser using your logmein account (works over WAN tooo!!!! using MAC and Linux as clients too! (any java supported browser))

If it won't install, download and install this first

then try to reinstall

Use the free version (it's unlimited)
