How can I transfer pictures from one computer to another using a disk?

I want to transfer pictures from one computer to another, using a disk. However, when I put the disk into the computer that has my pictures, nothing pops up. The disk is a : SONY CD-R: 700MB. It doesn't want to work for me! Does anyone know how to do this properly? I've tried opening and closing the disk compartment, but still nothing comes up.

Go into My computer , then right click your DVD drive then click explore , if the pics are the disk then doing that will find them
Reply:Insert a blank cd. Open whatever program you use to burn discs. Chose, DATA DISK. Drag the pictures onto the cd. Once they are there, burn the files but make sure your settings are set to "finalize disc" or "close disk". Then when you put it in the other PC it should read it fine.
Reply:use a USB key or email them to yourself and open them up on the other computer.
Reply:all u got to do is upload the pictures on ur computer........and then go to my computer and put a blank cd in the drive.....once you do that click on the cd drive and copy and paste the pics in the blank space and click burn files on to disk......once it finishes see if the files actuall made it on the cd by using a player of some sort to look through them
Reply:well u put a clean disk in and when the screen comes up you click on burn files to cd and then you select which photos you want?
