How can I fix the computer with the black out screen eventhough the CPU and the screen are on?
If both disk drives work well on one computer but sometimes don't on the other, you may have problems with bad cables, bad cable connection, or even motherboard failure.

Check your cables before attaching any HDD and check your HDDs jumper settings. If you can see them detected on the system bios they should be able to work. On the other hand, it's not recommended to exchange a system disk with another, specially with windows XP.

If your computer does boot, and starts windows XP but i doesn't load, you may need to enable VGA video: press F8 right after boot to load the start menu, go to safe mode or look for the "Enable VGA" option.

Good luck.
