I need a computer (preferably a mac) for filmmaking. It can be a laptop or Desktop.

Macs are great for film production. If you have the money, wait a few weeks. The new Mac Pro is on it's way, and it's going to sport Intel's fastest chips, as well as more features than you can shake a stick at. If you're just looking for something down the middle, get an iMac. If you want mobility, get a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Don't forget to check out Apple's Pro Apps.
