I have two computers and the one I have my iTunes on is an inch from death. (It appears to have MANY different viruses.)Also, the computer my iTunes is on can't burn CD's because that feature somehow dissappeared a couple years ago. So...Is there anyway I can get my iTunes on my other computer without burning it to a CD AND without losing any of my music? I need help! I've spent a lot of money buying songs from iTunes and if that computer crashes I've lost it all!
Is there any way to tranfer my iTunes to a different computer WITHOUT burning it to a CD?
Just network the 2 pc either wired or wireless and then share a folder on the pc you want to transfer too.
Reply:You can also get a relatively inexpensive software (I like CopyPro) that will take the iPod's music content and automatically import your music into your iTunes. By importing songs directly from the iPod, sometimes the file's information isn't shown and you end up with a bunch of four lettered filenames.
Reply:Get yourself a good sized usb flash drive.
They rock!
Reply:do you have a USB flash drive? you can get them for fairly cheap now, and although you may not be able to transfer all the files at once you can certainly transfer a few at a time.
alternatively, are both computers connected to a network? if so, you can create a shared folder on your old computer and access it from your new computer, thus transferring the files over the network.
this exact thing happened to me, and i transferred mine over a network.
Reply:I can help you out step by step if you would like to network both your computers. Simply transfer the iTunes Music Folder to the other computer. Once transferred, open iTunes and click File, Import Folder and choose the folder you just transferred.
If you don't know how to network your computers, at least let me know if you have ethernet cable and both computers have an ethernet card/controller.
Oh, and about your purchased music. No worries as you just have to punch in your username and password on the new computer for the music to play there.
